Nobody wants to type in a train number, a coach and a seat by hand. The good news: all of that is already in the confirmation email. You just need to send it to the right place.
How it works
Every trip you create in Travel Wallet has its own email address. Anything you forward to that address lands in that trip. No connection to your mailbox, no access to your other messages: only the emails you choose to send are read.
Step by step
- Open the trip, tap “Add a ticket”, then “Receive by email”.
- Copy the address shown (or share it with the rest of the group).
- In your mail app, open the booking confirmation and forward it to that address.
- A few moments later, the tickets appear in the trip. A notification lets you know.
A single email can contain several tickets: they are split up, dated, and assigned to the travelers whose names appear on them.
What gets extracted
- the type of ticket: train, flight, bus, ferry, hotel, concert, match, visit, restaurant;
- the route or the venue, the date and the local time;
- the train or flight number, the coach, the seat, the gate or the platform;
- the booking reference and the price when they are shown;
- the code to scan, regenerated so it stays sharp at full screen.
If something was read wrong, you correct it directly on the ticket.
Other ways to add a ticket
Email is the fastest route, but not the only one: share a PDF from any app, take a photo, pick an image from your gallery, or scan several paper tickets in a row. The result is the same.
A tip for groups
Give the trip’s address to whoever booked the accommodation, and to whoever bought the concert tickets. Each of them forwards their confirmations, and everyone finds the full plan in one place, sorted by day.
